StarCraft is a strategy game in real time science fiction created by Blizzard Entertainment. Initially was released for Microsoft Windows on March 31, 1998, and to date has sold over nine and a half million original copies, becoming one of the top selling games of all time for PC. A year later he released a version for Mac OS and in June 2000, an adaptation to the Nintendo 64 system with the participation of Mass Media Interactive Entertainment.
It is set in the Twenty-sixth century, in which three races from different planets battle for supremacy and survival somewhere in the Koprulu Sector: the Terrans, humans exiled from Earth, the Zerg, a race of insectoid seeking entire races absorbing genetic perfection, and the Protoss, a humanoid alien people with a great technological and psionic abilities.
