Empire: Total War is the fifth title already part of the cycle that began in 2000 and represented by games like Shogun: Total War, Medieval: Total War and Rome: Total War. The newest version of the game series introduces some revolutionary changes, offering several new options. The basic assumptions of the game remained very close. The biggest new feature offered by Empire: Total War is the opportunity to participate in the battles played out at sea. Interestingly, the weather conditions at sea in a significant influence on the course of battles fought. For example, a powerful storm can prevent the execution of certain tactics.
