Empire: Total War is the fifth title already part of the cycle that began in 2000 and represented by games like Shogun: Total War, Medieval: Total War and Rome: Total War. The newest version of the game series introduces some revolutionary changes, offering several new options. The basic assumptions of the game remained very close. Continue so we are operating on two screens. Layer is used to manage tactical command of the empire itself. Movements are made here in the turn-based system. Fights are played on a layer of the battle. In this case, of course, the actual time used, configuring the game to other RTS. For the preparation of Empire: Total War is of course responsible development studio Creative Assembly. The game itself however was only designed for holders of personal computers.
This strategy refers to the major events that took place in the eighteenth century. The reference is, inter alia, the Industrial Revolution, the American War of Independence, or fighting for control of eastern trade routes. Selected events from this period appear in campaigns prepared by the manufacturer to the game. The biggest new feature offered by Empire: Total War is the opportunity to participate in the battles played out at sea. In previous games, with all the Total War series because the clash took place on dry land. In the game, we can argue both flotyllami whole, and individual ships. Enemy ships can try to sink, or assume control over them, joining the boarding. In a more classic battles should in turn expect the emergence of new attractions, in the form of cannons and muskets. Commanded troops can also take the new types of formations.
The main screen of the campaign was extended to new activities on trade, diplomacy and espionage. The manufacturer has improved the behavior of advisors - their hints are more accurate. Visuals Empire: Total War presents an even higher level of performance than their predecessors. Improvements included, inter alia, the appearance of water. Interestingly, the weather conditions at sea in a significant influence on the course of battles fought. For example, a powerful storm can prevent the execution of certain tactics.
